A carrier oil is a vegetable oil (such as coconut oil or grapeseed oil) that is used to dilute the EO. Vegetable Oil Complex is an excellent base oil for any application. When diluted in a base oil, the effectiveness of EO does not decrease, but its excessive consumption due to excessive application is prevented. Vegetable combi fats, butter, margarine and petroleum products (vaseline, paraffin) should not be used as base oils. \u201cHot\u201d oils are those that, when applied to the skin, cause a burning sensation. Young Living recommends a skin test before first use. To do this, apply 1-2 drops of EO on a skin area (for example, on the forearm). Observe this area for 1-2 hours for visible reactions. The reaction usually occurs within 5-10 minutes. If there is a feeling of warmth, burning or rash, apply V-6 Carrier Oil to the area (several times as needed). Some hot oils are: Cinnamon, Clove, Lemongrass, Peppermint, Oregano, Thyme, Exodus II, Thieves.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

If discomfort or irritation occurs, discontinue use of EO and apply V-6 or other carrier oil to the affected area. Do not try to wash the oil off the skin with water, as this may increase the discomfort. The appearance of a rash may indicate detoxification. Drink enough water to stimulate the release of toxins and their removal from the body. Some detox reactions can be triggered by toxins present in petrochemical based soaps and skin care products. If such a reaction occurs, try stopping their use. Before reapplying the EO, perform a skin test (as described above) and dilute the EO with carrier oil as needed. Water can spread the oil over the skin and into the eyes. If EO gets in your eyes, wash it off with V-6 carrier oil to help relieve pain. The discomfort should decrease after a few minutes. If after five minutes the pain in the eyes has not decreased, consult a doctor. Be aware that some sources suggest diluting oils with water. YL recommends diluting them with carrier oil to reduce discomfort as quickly as possible.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The correct method of application is described on the label of each specific EO. Follow label directions. The notion \u201cif a little is good, a lot is even better\u201d is not always true. Essential oils are powerful: start small and don’t get carried away. In most cases, 1-2 drops is sufficient, and using more is a waste of product. The frequency of use of some EOs can be gradually increased to 3-4 times a day if desired. Excessive use of essential oils increases the risk of side effects.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In special conditions of the female body, we strongly recommend that you first consult with your family doctor. In general, it is recommended to avoid frequent and excessive use of clary sage (Salvia sclarea), sage (Salvia officinalis), tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis), fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) and wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens), as well as mixtures and food additives containing these oils. Some EOs (especially citrus fruits) contain natural molecules that react to sunlight (ultraviolet radiation) and cause a painful reaction. All YL EOs and oil blends containing these components carry a warning on the label to avoid sun and other UV radiation for 12-48 hours after application. Care should always be taken when starting a new oil: do a skin test (see above), dilute the oil, and apply it to areas of skin protected from sunlight (UV radiation) to reduce the chance of painful reactions.
