This is a rare plant, which is famous for being part of expensive elite cosmetics.
Did you know that Blue Tansy contains 3-6% chamazulene? Chamazulene can only be obtained by very precise distillation, for this reason it is called an artifact. There are several other plants containing this valuable component – German chamomile and Yarrow.
Another interesting feature of this essential oil is that it was originally created from tiny yellow flowers that look like chamomile. However, during the steam distillation process, Blue Tansy essential oil acquires a rich blue color, provided by the chamazulene component.
Previously, we could only smell Blue Tansy in Valor, Sara, Release, Pease & Calming blends, and we fell in love with these blends, also because of its magical aroma. Blue Tansy is now available as a standalone oil.

What is ORAC? ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, or a measure of the ability of antioxidants to absorb free radicals. In simple terms, this scientific term means how well a given substance helps my body fight disorders such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chronic diseases of organs and tissues. It was introduced by scientists from the National Institute on Aging at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Baltimore, USA.

Although Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annuum) essential oil is made from tiny yellow chamomile-like flowers, the naturally occurring component chamazulene in the flower is steam distilled to give this highly beneficial essential oil its deep blue color. For Topical Application: Dilute 1:1 with V-6™ Complex or Olive Oil and apply to desired area of skin. For aromatic use: spray for 30 minutes 3 times a day. Warning: keep out of the reach of children. Exclusively for outdoor use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or are ill, we recommend consulting your doctor before use.
