The name comes from the Saxon word “Dillan” – “to put to sleep”.

A description of Dill was discovered in a manuscript by the Roman surgeon and explorer Dioscorides. His practice manual De Materia Medica (AD 78), which became the first authoritative reference book on medicinal plants in Europe and has been in use for over 1700 years, indicated that Roman gladiators rubbed their skin with dill before each match in order to to reduce nervousness and anxiety over the fight.

Acts as: antidiabetic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, expectorant, mucolytic, pancreatic regulator, blood sugar and insulin regulator.

At Brigham Young University (Brigham Young) in 2003, studies were conducted that showed that Dill essential oil inhibits prostate cancer by 56.6%, and Sandalwood essential oil by 84.1%! Moreover, the concentration was small – 0.02%.

Application and dosage:

dilute 1:1 with vegetable oil or V-6 oil
the oil is considered safe (GRAS) for internal use by the FDA
apply 1-3 drops to the affected area
apply 2-4 drops to the abdomen for problems and pain, colic
for oral administration, place in a capsule, 2 times a day, if necessary
apply to Vita Flex points
inhale from the palms or from a bottle –
5-6 drops in a diffuser for 20 minutes 3 times a day, or as needed
in the bath 5-6 drops for emulsifiers
